TACO-pocalypse!
Join us July 29 - August 1, 2016 for the Apocalypse Scooter Club's 11th annual rally.
RALLY ITINERARY
Saturday, July 30
7:00PM Meet and Greet @ Swans of Inglewood (1336 9 Ave SE)
Bring $20 cash to buy the awesome rally pack which gives you a great patch, East LA bandana, and a name tag to get in the taco feast on Sunday.
** Make sure you dress up for the theme. The will be prizes for the best costume **
Later.. Tom leads a mellow urban warm-up ride to points unknown.
Sunday, July 31
10:30AM Breakfast at El Rey del Taco (1832 36 St SE) Your choice of 3 authentico tacos (different meats, as well as a veggie option), and a drink (coffee, Mexican pop, or other). Pay up front cafeteria style, and enjoy the variety of sauces and salsas.
12:30PM-2:30PM ‘South-East Border Run’ group ride. Prepare for a two-hour journey through the badlands of Southeast Calgary, led by El Presidente Kennedy. Fuel up before you arrive at El Rey, and take a bathroom break before we leave! There will be one fuel/bathroom break along the way.
2:30PM-3:30PM Scooter Games at Las Playas de la Muerte Prepare for a team taco-building exercise in the Reposado Relay, or compete in the Taco 1200 50cc race (paging Ruckus riders), and the Guacamoto-GP Slow Race - where the last one to finish without touching their foot down wins!
*SIESTA*
7:00PM Creekside Bar & Grill (1065 Canyon Meadows Dr SW) for supper but especially for the 2-stroke margarita machine!
Later.. Brad to lead an epic suburban ride to points unknown.
Monday, August 1
10:30AM Breakfast at The Ship & Anchor (534 17 Ave SW) Let’s hope the sun shines on that patio!
12:30PM Gary's long ride out in the country to Cochrane for ice cream and drinks.
* Bring fuel* and make sure your tank is full before you leave. We will be splitting the group into faster and fifty's so nobody gets left behind.
*Bring your cameras, the mountain vistas are spectacular.*
5:30PM Arrive back in Calgary to our Taco feast (location disclosed in the rally packs).
*Bring even more cash to have a chance to win a little motorcycle (Honda CT-70 clone), cameras, a GoPro, Hipster Bicycle and lots of other stuff. Awards will given to those deserving souls and weird games of skill will be played*
Later.. An epic urban ride to places unknown
9:30AM Goodbye to out-of-towners at Caffe Beano (1613 9 St SW)
11:30AM ride in the city to Sammy’s Chophouse (3151 34 Avenue SE). This is as good as it gets, there is a free meal on the 1st of the month :)
